Leo has a New Home!

Leo is now living at Diamond’s home. After many years in my classroom, I was looking for a new home for him and Diamond graciously brought him home to her house.

My dog, Bear, is not fond of guinea pigs, so the holidays and weekends irritate him to no end. I am still looking for homes for Bebe and Teeny, 2 loving girls that are very sweet and would love someone who would play with them. They have to be together, since they were brought up together and guinea pigs get very lonely without another guinea pig. Leo had a friend, Cow, but he died a couple years ago and he seems to be content by himself.

8th Grade Picnic

On the 11th of April, to celebrate that it was finally above 40 degrees, we had a picnic. We walked to Chipolte on Grand Avenue and then walked to Dunning Playground.

It was so good to finally be outside and enjoying each other’s company, instead of being cooped up inside.

I loved dining with the girls and watching all the boys play basketball together.

Lunch with Parents and our 8th Grade Spa

On Wednesday, we had a fun day with our parents and our middle school. Ms. Carter planned a great day for the whole school, with an Easter egg hunt and a lunch with our student’s parents. Mr Green made a turkey dinner for lunch that was delicious and the cafeteria was decorated in festive motifs for the holidays. It was so fun to have the parents there, sharing in our great lunch.

The middle school had different room activities for the afternoon. 6th had a movie/7th had gaming/ and 8th grade had a spa/foosbal. Anari, Diamond, Shay, and Chanel worked hard painting nails, giving hand/foot massages, and making sure all the customers had a great time from 3-8th grade + parents! We also had a visit from Anastatia! She arrived from Florida for a visit on Tuesday and we asked her to join us on Wednesday for our party. It was so wonderful having her back with us.

Track Kids Run to Como Zoo

The track team has been working on interval distance running.

Our outings have been:

1. Cathedral/Cossetta’s 6.6 miles

2. Jefferson Loop 6.8 miles

3. Como Zoo  6.04

I love going out running with these kids. They want to accomplish something, enjoy each other’s company, and love to run for just the joy of running.  It is hard work, but it is also fun. We have enjoyed: pizza, DQ, animals, art, landmarks, talked, shared, and saw a lot of great things together.

Great fun, with great athletes!
